The Ivory Coast man seen in a viral video after Ivory Coast won the match against Senegal has spoken for the first time.
In the viral video flying across social media platforms, the man was seen trying to speak to the lady, probably taking her number.
The man, identified as Anselme Santos, has said that he was overexcited when Ivory Coast won the match and could not control himself.
He claims that throughout the match, the lady was sitting close to her, but he never spoke to her because he was seriously watching the football match.
He said his inability to control himself during the excitement made him approach the lady for her number so that he could reach out to her after the match.
He was interested in the lady and wanted her for a relationship.
However, he said the lady was never ready to give him the contact information, so he also did not insist on getting the number.
According to him, his actions have affected his family so much that he regrets doing that.
Anselme Santos has apologized to his family and is waiting to be forgiven for what he did.
“In the euphoria, I told [the woman in the video] ‘Give me your number’. It wasn’t mean, but she didn’t want to. So I didn’t insist. I would like to take this chance to apologize to my wife and my children,” he said via @ActuFootAfrique
