Team Bafana Bafana arrive in Cote D’ivoire to compete at AFCON 2024

Bafana Bafana whose current Fifa world ranking is sitting at 66 have landed in Ivory Coast ahead of the Africa Cup of Nations, which kicks off on Saturday.

South Africa will be watching this year’s Africa Cup of Nations as Bafana Bafana represents the hopes and dreams of the nation.

After defeating the host nation, Egypt, South Africa advanced to the quarterfinals of the last Afcon competition.

Three Bafana Bafana players have never participated in an Africa Cup of Nations competition. During Bafana Bafana’s final Afcon in Egypt in 2019, Williams, his vice-captain Percy Tau, and veteran Themba Zwane participated.

Lesotho and Bafana Bafana played to a scoreless draw on Wednesday.

After that, Bafana was unable to advance to the 2021 tournament, which was held in Cameroon only last year.
