SuperSport to broadcast all AFCON 2023 matches

MultiChoice, the parent company of SuperSport, has successfully acquired the rights to broadcast all 52 matches of the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) 2023.

The tournament is set to take place from 13 January 2024, to 11 February 2024, and will feature 24 teams in what is Africa’s premier men’s football competition.

The agreement between MultiChoice and rightsholders, New World TV (NWTV), ensures that SuperSport, known for its leadership in sports broadcasting across the continent, will provide comprehensive coverage of all the Afcon 2023 matches. Football enthusiasts can catch the action on DStv and GOtv throughout Africa.

The tournament kicks off with the host nation, Ivory Coast, facing Guinea-Bissau on January 13 at the Alassane Ouattara Stadium in Abidjan.

Following the opening match, multiple games are scheduled each day during the group stage until January 24. The group stage matches are set to kick off at 14:00, 17:00, and 20:00 (all times GMT).

Group A: Ivory Coast, Nigeria, Equatorial Guinea, Guinea-Bissau.

Group B: Egypt, Ghana, Cape Verde, Mozambique.

Group C: Senegal, Cameroon, Guinea, The Gambia.

Group D: Algeria, Burkina Faso, Mauritania, Angola.

Group E: Tunisia, Mali, South Africa, Namibia.

Group F: Morocco, DR Congo, Zambia, Tanzania.
