Bafana Bafana take on Tunisia in their final 2023 Africa Cup of Nations Group E clash at the Amadou Gon Coulibaly Stadium on Wednesday evening.
Hugo Broos’ charges revived their chances to qualify to the knockout stages on Sunday through a comprehensive 4-0 victory over Namibia.
On the other hand, the Carthage Eagles remained without a win following a hard-fought 1-1 draw with Mali on Saturday evening.
As things stand, Bafana are second in the group with Mali first followed by Namibia in third and the Tunisians at the bottom with a single point.
Victory for either Bafana or the Carthage Eagles will be enough to see them amongst the participants in the knockout stages.
The North African won the last two matches against Bafana at Afcon in 2006 and 2008. where the South Africans exited both editions at the group stages.
However, Bafana will be quick to remind the Carthage Eagles of the famous final in 1996 where they beat claimed the win for the title on home soil.
Kick-off is at 19h00.
