Sadio Mane: AFCON Bound Senegal Star Speaks for the First Time Since His Marriage to Aisha Tamba

Al-Nassr winger Sadio Mane has spoken to the media for the first time since marrying his longtime lover, Aisha Tamba, in a beautiful marriage ceremony in Dakar, Senegal.

The former Liverpool star is set to feature at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast as he was included in Senegal’s 27-man squad for the competition.

The wedding between the former Bayern Munich winger went viral on social media, with his fans and other football celebrities congratulating him.

Ahead of the competition, the Senegal squad visited the president of the country, Macky Sall, and Mane claimed that he was congratulated by him, according to a report by All Football.

“Honestly, I am happy with the fact the president has congratulated me just as much as, well, I would say not just my teammates,” he said.

“I think that all the people have congratulated me and wished me luck, so I am happy, and I hope that it will be okay.”

The 31-year-old is one of the players the Teranga Lions depend on to retain the title after their triumph in the 2021 edition.

Senegal is drawn alongside Cameroon, Guinea, and Gambia in Group C. The Teranga Lions will start their title defence against the Scorpions before battling the Indomitable Lions.

Mane builds stadium in his hometown, Bambali

Sports Brief earlier reported that Sadio Mane continued his developmental works in Senegal by building a new stadium for the people of his hometown, Bambali.

The former Bayern Munich star returned to his hometown to formally open the facility ahead of his Teranga Lions’ training camp for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.

One year ago, Mane was spotted playing on a muddy pitch in Bambali after a tough season in Europe, which saw him depart Bayern Munich.
