SEDIBENG.- SAFA Administrator, Potso Mohami who happens to come from Vaal has been appointed by CAF as one of the Assistant General Coordinators at the upcoming African Cup of Nations (AFCON).
The 34th edition continental tournament is scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast from 13 January to 11 February. This Bophelong-born female football administrator continues to hoist Sedibeng’s flag high. She has been all over the African continent doing duty for CAF women’s tournaments including the Women’s African Cup of Nations, this time around she is going there for the men’s continental tournament.
Speaking to Sedibeng Ster Sport, the shy Mohami said she is grateful for this opportunity to work with the best football administrators in African football. Mohami’s rise to stardom came when she joined SAFA doing her internship under the leadership of Dr Molife Oliphant, SAFA’s Lifetime President.
“I don’t know what to say but I’m more than humbled to be appointed by CAF to serve at the men’s AFCON tournament. I’m looking forward to learning from the best on the continent. I want to thank SAFA for always allowing me to do continental football duties when I have been called by CAF,” she told Sedibeng Ster Sport.
