Moffi missed Nigeria’s first game, which ended 1-1 against Equatorial Guinea, but the Forward believes Nigeria deserved more and could have won by a huge margin in that game.
“After the matchday one, it wasn’t like we played bad football, we just didn’t win the game. I think we had a lot of opportunities,” he told BRL in Abidjan.
“Watching the game again, you could see that we had a lot of good opportunities. We did a lot of good things and we just have to stay positive for the future games.
Looking ahead to Thursday’s game against the hosts and Nigeria’s fate in the tournament, the player said:
“Every footballer wants to win trophies and I think everyone here in the camp wants to win. With this mentality, we could do something.”
