I’m back for something – Inaki Williams roars

Ghana international Inaki Williams delivered a standout performance in Athletic Bilbao’s Copa Del Rey clash against Barcelona on Wednesday evening.

Williams, returning to action after Ghana’s early exit from the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, played a key role in Bilbao’s victory.

Arriving in the morning after leaving Ivory Coast in a private jet provided by his club, Williams entered the game in the 59th minute as Bilbao sought a lead in the intense encounter at the San Mamés Barria.

In extra time, Williams showcased his skill by capitalizing on a loose ball, hitting the post with his shot, and scoring on the rebound to make it 3-2.

He also contributed to his brother Nico’s 120+1 strike, extending the lead to 4-2. Guruzeta and Sancet scored the other two goals for Bilbao, while Yamal and Lewandowski netted for Barcelona.

After the final whistle, Williams, walking shirtless, looked into the cameras at the San Mames and declared, “I’m back for something!”

Athletic Bilbao will now shift their focus to their upcoming league game against Cadiz scheduled for January 28th.
