I support Andre Ayew but if Cote D’Ivoir

Yvonne Ayew, wife of Black Stars captain Andre Ayew, has expressed her support for her husband and his quest to win Ghana’s first AFCON title in over 40 years.

However, she added in an interview with CANAL+ that should 2023 AFCON host Ivory Coast, end up winning the title, she will be happy with that.

Yvonne Ayew, who is of Ivorian descent, said this ahead of Ghana’s opening game in the tournament against Cape Verde on Sunday, January 14 at 20:00 GMT.

Ivory Coast on the other hand, will play the tournament’s first game against Guinea-Bissau at 20:00 GMT in Group A with Nigeria taking on Equatorial Guinea.

“This year, I support Andre (Ayew) but if Cote D’Ivoire wins, I will be very happy” she said as she weighed in on the AFCON conversation.
