The Super Eagles also have 30 cleansheets to their AFCON pedigree, joining Egypt and Ghana as the only teams with that many shutouts.
Meanwhile, Nigeria is making its 20th appearance in the Cup of Nations, and have more medals than any other nation in the Competition’s history (15), despite winning the tournament only 3 times.
Similarly, Nigeria has the most third place finishes in the history of the AFCON, with 8 bronze medals.
