Ghana to face Namibia in pre-AFCON friendly today

In preparation for the upcoming 34th edition of the TotalEnergies Africa Cup of Nations Cote D’Ivoire 2023, Ghana is set to test their strength against Namibia in an international friendly.

The match will take place at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday, January 8, 2024.

Both Ghana and Namibia view this friendly as an opportunity to fine-tune their strategies for the AFCON tournament, which commences in Abidjan on Saturday, January 13, 2024.

Ghana finds itself in Group B alongside Cape Verde, Egypt, and Mozambique, while Namibia is set to face Tunisia, South Africa, and Mali in Group E.

The friendly match is scheduled for an 8:00 PM kickoff at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium. It’s worth noting that the Centre Line and Popular Stand sections will be free of charge for the public.

This encounter will serve as a valuable occasion for both teams to assess their readiness and make necessary adjustments ahead of the continental football spectacle.
