Iheanacho has been battling with muscular injury since December 2022 and hasn’t seen a minute of action since.
Despite the injury, the 27-year-old was called up for Nigeria’s campaign at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire.
The forward has been training with team and he’s now eager to make his debut in the upcoming match against Guinea-Bissau on Monday.
“I’m a hundred per cent fit at the moment. I’m good to go,” he told BRL. “I was lucky that it wasn’t a Grade A muscle injury.”
Kelechi Iheanacho missed both of Nigeria’s opening two fixtures; against Equatorial Guinea and Cote d’Ivoire.
