Blati Toure happy for Burkina Faso’s win

Blati Touré was named as Man of the Match in Burkina Faso’s win over Mauritania in their opening group game of the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Côte d’Ivoire 2023.

The Stallions left it late against the Lions of Chinguetti to secure all three points.

The midfielder played a key part in the victory and was excited for emerging as the TotalEnergies CAF AFCON Man of the Match.

“I am very happy for the entire team, not because I won man of the match award, I simply put myself at the disposal of the team, I am very happy with the victory, it was not easy, we believed in it until the end,” Blati said.

Despite the late win, Blati heaped praise on the Mauritanian team and said they are a solid side.

“We’ve played against Mauritania several times now, they’re a very good team, they were well organized, our determination ended up defining the result,” he concluded.
