The wife of Senegalese football icon, Sadio Mane, Aisha Tamba has spoken for the first time since her marriage with the Al-Nassr forward.
Mane married the 18-year-old student at a private ceremony in Dakar, just days before the start of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.
The former Liverpool star had to leave after the wedding to rejoin his Senegal teammates for preparations ahead of the defence of their AFCON title.

However, Mrs Mane claims she is not bothered by her husband’s popularity and remains rooted in her faith and humility.

“I am looking forward to my new life and I know that it will be very different. But I do not feel any pressure because Sadio’s fame and money will not change me. This is not what I’m interested in. I will remain a humble person committed to my faith,” she told the Daily Mail, as quoted by GOAL.
“I’m not used to having so much attention on me because we are a very private family. We don’t like to show off and speak about our personal lives. I am a very down-to-earth person, this is how I was raised, and nothing will be different just because of this marriage. But I’m very honoured to now be Mrs Mane,” she added.
Mrs Mane could move to Saudi Arabia with her husband at the end of her education in Senegal and could meet his teammate, Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner, Georgina Rodriguez.
