AFCON: Bravo boys – Oliseh hails three Super Eagles players after win over Ivory Coast

Former Nigeria international Sunday Oliseh has singled out three Super Eagles players for praise following the team’s 1-0 win over Ivory Coast at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON, on Thursday.

The players are Ola Aina, Frank Onyeka and Calvin Bassey.

Recall that Super Eagles captain William Troost-Ekong gave Jose Peseiro’s side the victory against Ivory Coast via a second-half penalty after Victor Osimhen was fouled in the box.

The AFCON clash was played at the Olympic Stadium in Ebimpé.

Reacting, Oliseh in a post via his X account, wrote: “Ola Aina! Ola Aina!! Ola Aina!!! What a vintage, Naija like, exceptional performance he put up, as Super Eagles got their groove on to down Cote D’ivoire 1-0.

“Frank Onyeka & Calvin Bassey worked herculean too! Bravo boys!!”

Nigeria will now face Guinea-Bissau in their last Group A tie on Monday.
