Belgian club, Union St Gilloise, is closely watching the performance of Stanley Nwabali at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

The 27-year-old earned his place in Nigeria’s squad for the tournament due to his excellent performances for Chippa United in South Africa.

Nwabali particularly impressed in Nigeria’s 1-0 win against Cote d’Ivoire, which was his fourth appearance for the national team.

Union St Gilloise has sent scouts to Abidjan to assess the goalkeeper firsthand and is considering making a move for him in the summer transfer window.

Nwabali is expected to start in Nigeria’s final group game against Guinea-Bissau.
