Ghana Black Stars have arrived in Abidjan on Wednesday for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Côte d’Ivoire in traditional wearing.
Chris Hughton and his men left Accra after receiving the country’s flag and encouragements from president Nana Akufo Addo himself.
The Black Stars ended their pre-AFCON camp with a goalless draw against Namibia on Monday which is far from inspiring fans confidence.
However, with the fitness of on-fire West Ham star Mohammed Kudus, Black Stars could surprise many during the competition in Côte d’Ivoire.
Ghana sit in Group B alongside Egypt, Mozambique and Cape Verde which is their first opponent in the tournament on January 14.
