Turkey’s Doğuş sells marinas in Croatia, Greece, UAE to CVC – report | Ahval

Doğuş Group of Turkey sold its marinas in Croatia to CVC Capital Partners, news website Total Croatia News said on Thursday.

CVC also acquired marinas in Greece and the United Arab Emirates, Total Croatia News reported, without saying where it got the information. The three facilities in Croatia were named as Borik, Dalmatia and Mandalina. It did not mention a figure for the transactions.

Doğuş Group is among the worst affected of Turkish companies from a currency crisis in 2018 because it took on billions of dollars of foreign debt to fund an expansion. It has held loan restructuring talks with banks and announced sales of several key assets to bolster its finances.

“We can confirm that all of D-Marin’s management and operations teams, as a successful marina owner and operator, will continue to fulfill their previous tasks,” Doğuş said in response to questions from the website.

Doğuş said the contract does not include Doğuş Group hotels in Croatia, D-Resort in Šibenik and Villa Dubrovnik.
