Maseru, March 27, 2019.- As part of his visit to Lesotho Ines Maria Chapman, vice president of the Councils of State and Ministers of Cuba, held a cordial exchange with the members of the Medical Brigade of Cuba in Lesotho and a representation of Basothos professionals who graduated in Cuba in the specialties of Medicine, Veterinary Medicine and Sports Medicine, Computing and different engineering.
The graduates shared with the Vice President anecdotes of their studies and daily life in Cuba and expressed their longing for the Island that welcomed them. They also exchanged about current Cuban issues related to the new Constitution, self-employment, the state of cooperation programs of the island and were admired for all the achievements of Cuba despite being a country blocked. The Vice President confirmed the Cuban government’s willingness to continue working with the brotherly people of Lesotho.
Also participated in the meeting,the general deputy director of Bilateral Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the rest of the members of the delegation accompanying the Vice President; Rodolfo Benítez Verson, Ambassador of Cuba in South Africa and officials of the Cuban Embassy.
