(TAP special correspondent Hanène Chaâbane) – Tunisia is participating in the 38th edition of Sharjah International Book Fair (SIBF) held on October 31-November 9.

The “modest” presence of Tunisian books is due to the high cost of transport and stand rental, Tunisian publishers told TAP. They also spoke about the lack of a public strategy for promoting the Tunisian publishing industry overseas.

Seven Tunisian publishing houses are taking part in the present edition along with 97 from Lebanon and 202 from Egypt, said the Fair Management.
