Togolese referee Vincentia Enyonam Amedome has been appointed to take charge of the match between Ghana and Cote d’Ivoire in the WAFU Zone B U-17 Cup of Nations tournament today.
Nicknamed the Black Starlets, the Ghana U-17 in their first match drew 1-1 against Nigeria in a fierce contest.
Now with a point, the team has set sight on picking up a positive result to ensure they progress to the knockout stage of the tournament.
Today, the team takes on their counterpart from Cote d’Ivoire in the final Group B game of the tournament being staged in Togo.
Ahead of kick-off, the Ghana FA has announced that Togolese referee Vincentia Enyonam Amedome has been selected to uphold the laws of the game.
She will receive assistance from her compatriot Komlan Domenyo Domenyo Adiwotso as Assistant referee I with Niger duo Abdoul Aziz Yacouba and Zakari Adamou Oumarou appointed to take up the roles of Assistant referee II and Fourth referee respectively.
Meanwhile, Ayawa Mana Mawoufemo Dzodope from Togo will serve as the Match Commissioner.
The encounter between Ghana and Cote D’Ivoire will be played at the Kegue International Stadium in Lome and has been scheduled to kick-off at 16:0OGMT.
