The UFC are desperate to avoid any possible fiasco between Conor McGregor and Khabib Nurmagomedov while the pair are in Abu Dhabi.
Both men are embroiled in one of the most heated rivalries in the history of the company.
Although the Russian won their grudge match in October 2018 by submission in the fourth round, it’s safe to say the pair are yet to bury the hatchet.
While Dana White faces an uphill battle to convince Khabib to fight one more time, both men will discuss his future on Fight Island.
Khabib is in town to support cousin Umar Nurmagomedov, who’s fight v Sergey Morozov was removed from UFC 257 to avoid any chance of an altercation.
According to the Mirror, the bout in question has been moved three days earlier on the UFC Fight Night card.
When speaking to the MacLife about the possibility of McGregor and Khabib running into each other, Dana White said: ‘No, I think that these guys will be professional and I think that we have mapped out the routes so…
‘Listen, we’re on a small island here anything is possible’, said White.
‘There’s still a cage on the beach — they can both meet’, joked the MacLife presenter to which Dana replied: ‘We don’t need that either. I got a cage in four months they can meet in if that’s what they want to do.’
