UAE’s executive to chair Arab Union for Industrial Exports Development

Dubai / WAM

Mohammad Ali Al Kamali, Deputy CEO of Dubai Industries and Exports, an agency of the Department of Economy and Tourism (DET) in Dubai, was announced as President of the next session of the Arab Union for Industrial Exports Development (AUIED).
The announcement was made during the ninth General Assembly of AUIED, which concluded in Dubai alongside Expo 2020.
AUIED brings together Arab private and public industrial sectors to promote exports from the Arab world and increase trade exchange among the Arab countries. The ninth General Assembly also saw Ambassador Abdel Moneim Mohamed Mahmoud being re-elected unanimously as the Secretary-General of AUIED for a new term.
Expressing his gratitude to AUIED and its members, Mohammed Ali Al Kamali pledged to work towards facilitating trade exchange between Arab countries and increasing Arab exports in international markets.
“We will work closer to share views, experiences and knowledge relating to trade and export opportunities for Arab countries. We can also support companies looking for opportunities abroad as the Arab Union for Industrial Exports Development has developed multiple channels and solutions to take trade and exports to an advanced level, and to the global markets as well as buyers targeted,” said Al Kamali.
“Industrial exports are integral to the gross domestic product in every Arab country and all of them are striving to activate and develop exports by finding outlets and markets overseas for their products, in addition to enhancing industrial capabilities, particularly in adopting advanced technology and innovations vital to the 4th industrial revolution. Arab markets have all the ingredients that enable them to be global players. Moreover, industrial and exports development establishments in the Arab world have been complementing each other in advancing the economy of their respective countries,” added Al Kamali.
Ambassador Abdel Moneim Mohamed Mahmoud praised the role played by Al Kamali as the Vice-President of AUIED and his tireless efforts in implementing the objectives of the Union. The Ambassador also mentioned the significance of Al Kamali’s new position as President of the Union in developing Arab industrial exports and upgrading them in international markets.
The AUIED was established within the framework of the Arab Industrial Development and Mining Organisation in the Arab League. It is also one of the Specialized Arab Unions operating within the Council of Arab Economic Unity under the Secretary-General of the Arab League.
