The Conscious Consultancy celebrates its first anniversary in the UAE with the launch The Hungry Consultancy

In celebration of a first-year servicing globally recognised impact-driven hospitality brands within the Middle East, The Conscious Consultancy (TCC) founder Khyara Ranaweera announces the UK launch of sister agency The Hungry Consultancy (THC). From what started as a homegrown and female-owned agency, The Conscious Consultancy is the first impact and change-driven communications consultancy in Dubai with a flair for all things PR, creative and digital. Following a successful year, The Conscious Consultancy saw a 20% steady increase in staff in the first 6 months of business with plans to increase this number in the coming months.

Bursting onto the scene in 2021 to challenge the norm, not only in terms of approach to social media but public relations and events. As their first birthday approaches, the ever-growing consultancy celebrates in style with the launch of their hospitality-focused division, with over 10 restaurants on their books in 2021 it felt like a natural transition for The Conscious Consultancy.

After noticing that the Middle East is slowly progressing and taking steps in the right direction to adopt a more conscious approach to sustainability, The Conscious Consultancy first launched in Dubai to disrupt, challenge and offer clients a more hybrid approach to marketing and communications whilst advocating a more impact-driven way of thinking.

Birthed out of the belief that consumers want to make more positive choices to gain phenomenal success at Expo 2020 Dubai with global brands such as Alkebulan – Worlds first African dining hall, Time Out Awards favourite Cafe Milano, Matthew Kenny’s Plant-Based concept MKC Dubai and the UAE’S very own Homegrown concept – Alif Cafe by Farm to Table to name a few. TCC is showing no signs of slowing down with the launch of its hot and fresh out the kitchen sister agency “The Hungry Consultancy”.

The Hungry Consultancy is the next natural step for the breakthrough agency following a stellar year in the hospitality sector all whilst conducting their first official year of business during a

global pandemic. One of their stand out restaurants at Expo – Alkebulan saw over 1 million customers pass through its doors over the course of 6 months. The main aim of The Hungry Consultancy will mean a greater effort to highlight and support minorities in particular up and coming restaurants in the industry as well as to shine a light on lesser-known culinary traditions and products and to increase focus on eliminating food & packaging waste.

“As the hospitality industry moved into post-pandemic recovery mode we found that it was truly invigorating to start anew. By elaborating a new strategy with our hospitality clients such as Jones the Grocer, Silicon Oasis & TGP International we launched the restaurants we were working with on the rock-solid ground and were able to differentiate ourselves from the competition which proved to be a roaring success across the board” said Khyara.

As a direct result of a tailored “hands-on” approach to their clients, TCC has listened to their clients and the market and with that, The Hungry Consultancy was born.“Once we onboard a new client – we like to consider ourselves as an extension of their team, “ said founder Khyara.

With a young homegrown conscious entrepreneur behind The Conscious Consultancy, their ethos certainly stands out, as they aim to continue to work and evolve with brands and restaurants who choose not to ignore their power and aim to utilize their voice to make positive and lasting change. The consultancy was initially created to combine passion and expertise with the belief that a great campaign is not just about selling a product, making a booking or getting bums on seats; it’s about making an impact and driving change.

Not only will The Hungry Consultancy continue to work with brands and restaurants who aim to create a meaningful impact through their work in the form of fabulous food and campaigns, but the agency has also made a name for itself in the industry when it comes to advising and encouraging brands to adopt a more sustainable approach by introducing their clients to a network of like-minded companies, local suppliers and ingredients within the UAE.

A boutique consultancy with a global network, The Conscious Consultancy and now The Hungry Consultancy pride themselves on their core agency values including passion, creativity, sustainability and agility and have made a pact to continue to do so. A fully curated, purpose-driven, independent agency and network of entrepreneurs with one shared purpose of driving positive change and they cannot wait to see where the next year takes them if their first year in business is anything to go by.

“The hospitality market needs to rethink how it operates and build anew and we are truly excited to help guide our clients through this big reset, the possibilities are endless,” said Ranaweera
