The Sharjah Book Authority (SBA) has announced it will hold a press event at its headquarters in Al Zahia on Tuesday, April 26, to reveal the agenda of the 13th edition of the Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF), which will run between May 11 – 22 at Expo Centre Sharjah carrying the theme ‘Create Creativity’.

Held under the patronage and support of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and the directives of his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA), SCRF provides the younger generations with a unique platform to pursue their passions, expand their curiosity and acquire new knowledge. The international event also bolsters Sharjah’s status as a family-friendly city and an ideal setting for children and adolescents to grow and learn, through its exhaustive agenda of activities including theatre, arts and entertainment shows.

Speakers at the event include HE Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of SBA, and Khoula Al Mujaini, General Coordinator of SCRF, who will announce the line-up of participants and the the event’s agenda, including the Illustration Exhibition and the Poetry Knight competition.

The SBA cordially invites authors, intellectuals, members of the press, representatives of institutions  dedicated to children’s learning and development, and members of community to attend the press event to learn more about SCRF’s activities.
