Safaa Abdel Moneim: My honor at Sharjah Forum is a strong driving force

About 40 authors between a novel, a story and a book, for which the Egyptian author and storyteller Safaa Abdel Moneim was honored at the Sharjah Cultural Honors Forum, during its ninth session, which is held under the auspices of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council and ruler of Sharjah, where she said: “Honoring Sharjah is a strong driving force to continue what I started,” she said, expressing her gratitude to the ruler of Sharjah for this honor.
She explained to Al-Ittihad that she is the first Egyptian author to receive this honor for all of her literary works, which amount to about 40 books, including stories, novels, children’s books, and folk science.
Among her most important works are “From the Sweetness of the Spirit”, “Mirit Asfar”, “Sitty Apple” and “At the Night for My Horse”, and in the short story “Girls in Girls, Small and Pet Things”, Dangerous Games, in one way or another”.
Abdel Moneim’s works are not limited to novels and stories, but are also extended to children’s books, including “Tales from Halayeb, Aunt Tota, Basmala’s Tales and Sandra’s Story”, in addition to popular studies “Popular songs and games for children, daya and Mashta.” The Egyptian author is also waiting for more books to be published in the coming period, including the novel “The First Balcony” and the collection “When ants sing”.
The Sharjah Forum honored four Egyptian authors: Youssef Hassan Nofal, Professor of Literature and Modern Literary Criticism at Women’s College, Ain Shams University, author Safaa Abdel Moneim, Muhammad Anani, one of the most important translators in the Arab world, and author Samir El- File.
