President Farmaajo and PM Roble mourn the death of UAE president Sheikh Khalif bin Zayed.

President Mohamed Abdullahi Farmaajo has sent his heartfelt condolences to the people and government of the United Arab Emirates on the death of President Sheikh Khalif Bin Zayed Al Nahyan who passed away on Friday.

The President prayed to Allah to grant his soul in Janatul Firdows.

Prime Minister Mohamed Hussein Roble of Somalia also conveyed his message of condolences to the people and government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) over their President’s death.

PM Roble cited the food relations between the two countries and prayed to Allah to admit in paradise.

The United Arab Emirates (UAE) President and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has passed away on Friday, May 13 according to a statement from the Ministry of Presidential Affairs. Sheikh Khalifa has been the president of the UAE since November 3, 2004.

Other Somali leaders who expressed their condolences include; the two former Presidents, Hassan Sheikh Mohamud and Sheikh Shariff Sheikh and regional State leaders.

He died at the age of 73.

The Vice President and Dubai Emir Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum will serve as the acting president until a new President is elected.
