Ocealics – Boat Fishing Trips and Tours in Dubai

Ocealics is a Dubai-based fishing charter, providing deep sea fishing trips in Dubai to experience a memorable fishing trip off the coastline of Dubai, UAE.

On its official website, Ocealics regularly publishes content on fishing, such as fishing photos, fishing blogs, FAQs, and a lot more! Ocealics also has social media presence on Instagram, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter.

Ocealics is currently led by Marwan Alnooryani, the CEO of Ocealics. He is a growth-oriented entrepreneur who aims to provide top-tier services to people globally in the industry. His orientation stems from his deep bonds with the ocean. In fact, when he was only 18 years old, Marwan Alnooryani was the youngest Scuba Diving Instructor in the UAE.

Although the company is still in its initial days, Ocealics’ team works hard every day of the week to achieve its goals and provide top-notch half-day fishing tours to families and friends alike.

Learn more about how Ocealics works through our interview with their CEO below.

Where does the name ‘Ocealics’ come from?

The word Ocealics branches from the word ‘Ocean’. In fact, to better comprehend the meaning behind the name, think of the word Angel and the term ‘Angelic’, where the term emphasizes the nature of the word. Likewise, ‘Ocealics’ emphasizes love and deep bonds with the Ocean.

What are your goals as a company?

At Ocealics, we initially aim to be the best fishing tour operator in the UAE, and around the world! Simultaneously, we work on rapidly expanding into other lines of business, such as scuba diving, jet skiing, other watersports, and water activities.

What was the path Ocealics took to get to where it is today?

Since its early days, Ocealics was determined to maintain high-end professionalism in dealing with both businesses and individuals. During the hiring process of its fishing boat captains, Ocealics ensured to select only the best of the best. Fishing captains employed by Ocealics are certified lifeguards to ensure the safety of all passengers for the duration of the fishing trip. Moreover, the crew is well-trained to provide a delightful experience and ensure no customer gets off the boat without catching fish!

Why did you start Ocealics?

In simple terms, we started Ocealics because we wanted to provide a delightful Ocealic experience to everyone. To us, this meant that if anyone wanted to take their family or friends on a boat fishing trip, they would not think twice before reaching out to Ocealics, over and over again.

What makes you excited about Mondays?

As Ocealics is still in its early stages, work is in progress with no days off throughout the week. Yet, for every day of the week, what propels us to do our best is the excitement of drawing smiles, developing bonds, and creating everlasting memories for friends and families alike while fishing in the sea.

Tell us more about your services.

Our half day deep sea fishing trips include 4 full hours of fishing, for up to 5 persons per trip, including children of all ages. Fishing trips usually take place during early morning and afternoon times. On board, complimentary cold refreshments are provided free-of-charge. Moreover, all fishing and safety equipment is provided for the duration of the trip. All fish caught is for the customers to take back home for a fresh meal!

The next fresh meal could be a Queenfish, Barracuda, Cobia, Sea Bream, Kingfish, Tuna, Trevally, Emperor Fish, Grouper, Catfish, and many others!

In view of the above, Ocealics recognizes that while some families and friends prefer to book private fishing trips, other individuals prefer to book group fishing trips (i.e. sharing fishing trips) where every individual pays on a per-person basis. In its blog, Sharing Fishing Trips v. Private Fishing Trips, Ocealics explains the difference between the two and helps you select your most favorable option.

What are the strategies of your company, and how do they stand unique from your competitors?

At Ocealics, we ensure to live up to and exceed expectations. For example, for our 4-hour fishing tours, the 4 hours start after reaching the first fishing spot and not from the time the fishing boat departs Port Rashid Marina. However, other fishing charters generally include time to the fishing spot within the 4 hours of the fishing trip.

How do you see the company changing in two years, and how do you see yourself creating that change?

We expect to see more decentralization and accelerated expansion in size, activities, and geographic locations. Stemming from our philosophy of working ‘smart’ and not just ‘hard,’ we plan to find the most efficient ways to achieve our desired objectives in the least time possible.

What are the services/solutions or products offered by your company on par with the current industry standards? Tell us something about your upcoming products or services?

In line with international best practices, we provide half-day deep-sea fishing trips using fishing rods and lines. As per the applicable environmental legislation and policies, Ocealics does not allow fishing for certain species such as dolphins, sea turtles, and sharks. In fact, Ocealics has published a blog on What to do if you accidentally caught a Shark in Dubai. Moreover, the crew and passengers onboard the fishing boat occasionally remove waste and plastic bottles from the ocean to contribute towards a better future for our oceans.
