Nigeria’s Air Peace resumes inc’l ops in mid-1Q21

Air Peace (P4, Lagos) has announced the resumption of intercontinental flights – from Lagos to Sharjah in the United Arab Emirates – on February 5, 2021, using its B777-200(ER), following the introduction of twice-weekly international flights to Johannesburg O.R. Tambo with its B777-300 in December.

Air Peace spokesman Stanley Olisa said other international destinations on the radar included Mumbai Int’l, Guangzhou, Houston Intc’l, and London, but he did not specify a time frame.

He said the Sharjah service, which offers onward connections to Dubai via a bus service, would operate once a week, departing Lagos on Fridays and returning on Saturdays. He said the flight frequency would be increased depending on traffic demand.

The airline on January 25 increased domestic flights from Lagos and Abuja to Enugu on specific days to 3x daily in response to popular demand, he said.

According to the ch-aviation fleets ownership module, the airline has a fleet of twenty-five aircraft, including eight B737-800s, five B737-500s, one B777-200(ER), two B777-300s, one Do328-300, five EMB-145LRs, three EMB-145MPs; with ten B737-8s and thirteen E195-E2s on order.
