In an announcement made on twitter today, the UAE’s Ministry of Education has stated vaccinations will now be mandatory for anyone wishing to enter an educational establishment in the country.

The MOE annoucement, shared on social media today

The tweet encourages everyone over the age of 16 to take a vaccine “as soon as possible” and states that vaccinations are a mandatory requirement in order to enter an educational establishment.  There was no mention of whether exemptions to this rule will be possible, although ADEK has said that some exemptions would be permitted in Abu Dhabi.

This latest announcement comes on the same day that the UAE announced that the Sinopharm Covid-19 vaccination would be made available to all children over the age of 3, and the announcement, by ADEK, of a raft of back to school policies for schools in Abu Dhabi.
