As a true leader in the culinary arts, Usman loves to showcase his creativity through food, providing exceptional FB experiences for guests.

Usman has worked in a number of prestigious kitchens across the world, starting his career in South Africa, and working his way up through the ranks at various restaurants before landing a role as Sushi Chef at NOBU in Cape Town. After four years there, Usman moved to NOBU Tokyo for a transfer experience before bringing his skill set to Dubai in 2017.

His career in the UAE kickstarted as the Head Chef at KATSUYA in Madinat Jumeirah, before moving across various KATSUYA locations and working at Azul Lunge Theatre in Downtown Dubai. There he oversaw three kitchen operations, creating the menus and ideating various new dishes while managing a busy team and guest relations.

Proficient in three languages with an MBA from Swiss Business School Dubai, a Level 2 Diploma in Culinary Arts Principles and a Level 2 Diploma in Food Safety in Catering from the South African Chefs Academy and City and Guilds, plus a range of other prestigious culinary accolades, Usman has a wealth of knowledge he brings to his role at Ba Boldly Asian.

Chef Usman has joined Ba Boldly Asian at Fairmont The Palm managing the daily operation of the restaurant, he is responsible for maintaining the highest of standards and the overall smooth operation of the Palm Jumeirah popular Asian hotspot.
