Recently, several of them have had additional reasons to celebrate, thanks to the initiatives put in place by various entities – both public and private sector – granting employees paid leave to attend the World Fair.

United Arab Emirates federal government employees will be able to take six days of paid vacation to visit the mega fair.
The decision was approved on Wednesday by the United Arab Emirates cabinet, headed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, vice president and prime minister of the United Arab Emirates and ruler of Dubai.

In accordance with guidelines issued by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, city government employees can be granted six days paid leave to attend the global event.
The idea is that government employees understand the global innovations presented at the World’s Fair.
“Our goal is to concretely implement the Expo theme ‘Connecting Minds, Creating the Future’. We want our team to get to grips with creative ideas from around the world,” he said at the time. .

Earlier this week, Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, approved eight days of paid leave for ministry employees wishing to visit the Expo.

On Wednesday, the Ministry of Government Support also announced that Abu Dhabi government employees were entitled to six days of vacation to visit the world exhibition.
They can take advantage of this leave until March 31, 2022, the closing date of the show.

The group was one of the first private sector groups in the United Arab Emirates to offer six days off to its employees so that they can experience the wonders of Expo 2020 Dubai.
The group also cut employees’ working time by one hour for the duration of the Expo to help them leave their workplaces earlier and avoid traffic jams during rush hour.
