Emirates Airlines activates codeshare partnership with South African “Airlink”

Dubai (Union)

Emirates Airlines and the South African airline Airlink have officially announced the activation of their codeshare partnership.

The partnership between the two companies makes it easy for customers to create their ideal travel routes and benefit from seamless connections and a single booking reference across eight cities in South Africa through the Emirates’ three gateways in that country, Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban.

Emirates customers now have the option of booking a wide range of additional flights, including eight destinations from Johannesburg, five destinations from Cape Town and one point from Durban. Destinations include Bloemfontein, Hoedspruit, Port Elizabeth, Kimberley, George and East London.
Emirates Airlines currently flies two daily flights between Dubai and Johannesburg, one daily flight between Dubai and Cape Town and five weekly flights between Dubai and Durban. The airline also provides several connectivity options that provide the best travel experience for its customers. It also extended its reach to 79 regional points in southern Africa with the activation of the partnership with South African Airways, the codeshare agreement with Airlink and the two interline agreements with “Symer” and “FlySafe”.
