Dubai will host a big event, which is reported as the biggest crypto event to date. Scheduled to accommodate more than 3,000 delegates, CED2021: Crypto Expo Dubai will take place October 13-14, according to a press release. The event aims to spark discussions on the growth of cryptocurrencies in countries in the Middle East and Africa. Recently, a research report from Chainasys revealed that the African cryptocurrency market grew by 1,200%, which amounts to a whopping $ 105.6 billion (Rs 775 crore) between July 2020 and June 2021. As of Middle East, Turkey, Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates have also expanded their crypto-spaces.
Calling Dubai “progressive” in terms of cryptocurrency experimentation, the exhibition’s organizing committee said the event would add “value” to the crypto space regionally and globally.
Crypto and fintech players including ZebPay, CoinSwap, PallaPay and CryptoBiz, among others, represent more than 40 sponsors who have invested in this mega event, according to the official website of the exhibition. In addition, over 40 industry experts in the crypto space have been invited to participate in discussions, seminars, and Q&A series on cryptocurrency and blockchain technology.
Focal points for the event will include decentralized technology, the future of cryptocurrencies and the buzz surrounding digital artwork called – non-fungible tokens or NFTs.
About 30 crypto companies participating in this exhibition will also use the stage at Dubai’s Conrad hotel to make announcements for the future to come.
Dubai, however, is not the only country that is starting to host large-scale cryptocurrency events.
In April 2022, the seaside city of Miami in Florida, United States, is expected to host a mega event called “Bitcoin 2022”. According to its official page, it will be the world’s largest conference focused on the world’s most valuable cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, which trades at just over Rs. 34 lakhs (around over $ 46,000) according to the tracker.
