DUBAI FOOD FESTIVAL CONNECTS FAMILIES AND FRIENDS DURING EID AL FITR WITH ITS EID BIG BREAKFAST PROMOTION

Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 30 April 2022: Uniting families and friends through food during the joyous period of Eid Al Fitr, diners will be able to enjoy Dubai Food Festival’s (DFF) Eid Big Breakfast promotion running from 2 – 6 May at restaurants, cafés and eateries across the city.

Breakfast-goers will be able to enjoy hearty and authentic breakfast menus exclusive to DFF’s Eig Big Breakfast at 18 eateries, with both dine-in and delivery options available that cater for various nationalities and cultures across the city.

Known as the best meal of the day for many, scrumptious breakfast options will be available at a variety of eateries, from family-owned, independent restaurants such as Mango People and SIKKA Cafe to popular homegrown brands such as Hillhouse Brasseries and Reif Japanese Kushiyaki and eateries at global hotels such as Waldorf Astoria.

Here’s where you can visit as part of DFF’s Eid Big Breakfast to enjoy authentic dishes from nations across the world:

Bull & Bear

Elevate your dining experience with a curated breakfast at Bull & Bear in Waldorf Astoria at Dubai International Financial Centre. The signature steakhouse serves a wide variety of specials that celebrate fresh, fine ingredients. Try chicken and waffles, or a grilled striploin and egg combination, from the a la carte menu. Pair the meal with the perfect cup of coffee from noon to 3pm every Sunday.

Caribou Coffee

Enjoy exclusive combo deals from Caribou Coffee’s new range of beverages and breakfast sandwiches from its 8 branches at Emaar locations across the city. Combo deals include a complimentary mini bite when purchasing a Rose of Saffron Latte, a flavoured latte half price with any sandwich and a flat white and croissant for AED 22!

Gastro Kitchen

Breakfast isn’t just for early risers. At Gastro Kitchen in the DoubleTree by Hilton at Dubai Marina, enjoy a selection of cold and hot mezze from 12.30pm to 4pm. For AED99 enjoy a delicious breakfast of Lebanese manakish, eggs, cheese and fresh fruit. Then indulge your sweet tooth with incredible Arabic desserts. Kids between 6-12 eat for AED60, and children under six dine for free.

SIKKA Cafe

Enjoy myriad flavours from Arabia at SIKKA Cafe. There are several locations to choose from – take a seat by the sea at La Mer, swing by after a morning stroll at City Walk or stop in for a quick meal in the Al Khawaneej neighbourhood. Order the signature ‘SIKKA-shuka’ with poached eggs, eggplant moutabel and homemade tomato sauce, and wash it down with unlimited karak chai. Don’t leave before trying chebab, a soft Emirati pancake infused with saffron and cardamom, or khameer bread served with cream cheese and date syrup. Share a table for two for just AED95 from 9am until midday.

Butcha Turkish Steakhouse

There’s a choice of breakfasts to choose from at this Turkish steakhouse located in City Walk. From 11am to 4pm on weekdays and 10am to 2pm on weekends, throughout the Eid holidays, graze on a platter of cheese, honey and delicious bread for AED55. Enjoy Turkish sujuk – dry and spicy sausage – served with eggs and potatoes for AED75, or the eggy Butcha Benedict with rustic bread from AED85, or go the classic route with a hearty meal of eggs, sausages, hash browns and more for just AED95.

Mango People

If you’re looking for breakfast at any time of the day, try authentic Pakistani offerings from Mango People. Served right to your doorstep or hotel throughout the Eid holidays, the heartwarming dish includes halwa puri, parathas and a meat-laden haleem stew. You can also dine at the restaurant’s other popular branches in The Villa Community and Dubailand Residence Complex.

Asma Restaurant

Located in The Dubai Mall, Asma restaurant brings to the table a quintessential Middle Eastern experience influenced by the rich flavours of the region presented in a contemporary approach. This homegrown favourite, started by three Emirati sisters, will be serving a special Eid Al Fitr breakfast through the seven days of Eid. Asma brings together a fusion of cultures with rich flavours of Lebanon, Jordan, Palestine, Egypt and Syria all prepared with cooking techniques passed down through generations.

Hillhouse Brasserie

Set in the picture-perfect Dubai Hills Golf Club, Hillhouse Brasserie is a casual eatery serving up homestyle comfort food. Even the pickiest little eaters will find something to their liking with teddy bear pancakes and wibbly wobbly waffles on the menu. Start early at 6.30am or stroll in later with the menu served until 11am from 2 to 4 May. Enjoy breakfast for just AED49 with a drink of your choice.

Novotel Dubai Al Barsha

Don’t miss Crepes Around The World, a fun pop-up foodie experience at the Novotel Al Barsha from 2 to 4 May. Starting at 8am, expect delicious sweet crêpes or savoury galettes. Come hungry and leave satisfied for only AED49 with free coffee included. Kids under six eat for free, and there’s face painting and a photo booth to capture every memorable moment.

Swissôtel Al Ghurair

Unwind with friends and family over a Middle Eastern breakfast prepared by chef Sharif Awad at Swissotel Al Ghurair’s Yasmine Lounge. For AED69, enjoy a selection of Arabic delights including zaatar croissants, foul mudammas served with lamb sujuk, traditional shakshouka, and a platter of hummus, halloumi cheese, mixed olives and crudités to nibble on. Servings start from 7am and go on until 11am.

Mezzerie

Located at the Waldorf Astoria on Palm Jumeirah, Mezzerie presents an inspiring setting with luxe interiors and chic design accents. For Eid Al Fitr, the restaurant serves a lavish banquet of Middle Eastern delicacies, mixed grills and seafood from live cooking stations, and Arabic sweets. The five-star hotel never fails to disappoint, so book yourself in for their Eid feast from 1pm at AED250 per person. 

Peacock Alley

Discover the treasures of Arabia with an afternoon tea at Peacock Alley in the Waldorf Astoria Dubai on Palm Jumeirah on 2 and 3 May. Indulge in beetroot cones filled with avocado hummus and chicken musakhan mini rolls, pistachio baklava and macarons, Middle Eastern desserts such as kunafa and rose and dates scones with lemon curd and strawberry jam. Complete the afternoon with a special selection of coffees and teas for just AED170 per person.

Reif Japanese Kushiyaki

Celebrate Eid with a delectable Japanese breakfast from 2 to 4 May at Reif Japanese Kushiyaki located in Dar Wasl Mall from 11am to 5pm. Diners can pair up the signature Reif Benedict eggs with either yuzu avocado, fried chicken or fish, galette flatbread or the oyakodon rice bowl. Every order comes complete with one complimentary tea, coffee or freshly-squeezed orange juice.

Café Cream

Join in the festivities at Novotel World Trade Centre Dubai with a family-style sharing trays of traditional Middle Eastern breakfast treats. Enjoy it all alongside freshly-baked breads, manakish, Arabic coffee or karak chai for AED65 per person.

Zaatar w Zeit

Fuel up for a day of shopping at The Dubai Mall with breakfast at Zaatar w Zeit. From 2 May, start the day off with a manakish, vegetable sides and a choice of juice for just AED29. The traditional Lebanese flatbread is one of the restaurant’s most popular menu items, topped with everything from gooey cheese, spiced sausages, creamy labneh or zaatar spice with herbs.

Boaz

Be transported to the heart of Istanbul at Boaz in City Walk. From 1 to 4 May, diners can enjoy unmatched flavours with an array of delightful options to savour. Think hearty platters that are ideal for sharing, new breakfast mezze choices and an array of Turkish specials. Available from 11am to 4pm.

French Riviera Beach

Located on the stunning shorelines of Jumeirah Al Qasr, French Riviera Beach invites guests to celebrate Eid in style from 2 to 4 May. Bask in the sun on the picturesque terrace and indulge guilt-free with signature breakfast dishes curated by head chef Kim Joinié-Maurin. The delicious French toast ‘crème brulée’ is a must-try. This amazing sharing breakfast for 2 is available for just AED420, from 8am to 11am.

Conrad Dubai

Start your celebrations on a delicious note with a feast filled with Emirati and international morning favourites. Located in Conrad Dubai on Sheikh Zayed Road, in an urban oasis with indoor and outdoor seating, Ballaro Restaurant is the perfect spot for a family breakfast. For AED150 per person, enjoy an array of Arabic dishes as well as live cooking stations and international dishes packed with flavour. Children can dine for AED75, with kids under 6 eating for free, and a dedicated kids area and kids cinema to keep them entertained while you dine.

Bistro Des Arts

Tuck into a traditional French fare and settle in for a slice of Paris on the Dubai Marina Promenade. From 2 to 4 May at Bistro Des Arts, guests can pick up two dishes from the breakfast “Petit Dejeuner” menu and get the lowest priced one one for free. From 8AM to midday, enjoy a breakfast overlooking the cool waters of Dubai Marina on the garden terrace or savour your breakfast inside with rustic French decor providing mellow Parisian ambience.
