Dubai World Expo: The Emirates Pavilion awaits its visitors with a futuristic experience
The must-see attraction at the Dubai World’s Fair will open its doors to visitors on October 1st. Emirates ’two-story, interactive pavilion is located in the“ Opportunity ”district and provides insight into the aviation of the future, showcasing science and technology innovations for the next 50 years.
Construction of the Emirates Pavilion began in March 2019 and the building was completed by June 2021. A number of sustainability considerations have been taken into account in the design and construction: the pavilion vase is made of regional and recyclable materials with processes that reduce energy and water consumption.
The two-story design and facade of the Emirates Pavilion pattern the wing of an airplane as the 24 aluminum-covered wings surround the building structure on two sides. The exterior lighting of the pavilion was solved with an 800-meter LED system that shines in vibrant colors at night. The bright, ultramodern design of the interior, on the other hand, plays with natural light.
Visitors to the Emirates Pavilion can have the following experiences:
“Science of Flight”: Hologram models demonstrate how airplanes fly – explaining the concepts of takeoff, thrust, gravity, and traction, among other things.
“Cleaner skies”: the equipment demonstrates how future innovations relate to the world’s biggest challenges: sustainability, population growth and technological developments. Visitors can compare their knowledge of future aviation technologies in an interactive quiz.
“Laboratory of the Future”: Visitors can learn about robots that will assemble their stronger, yet lighter-structured aircraft faster today.
“Propulsion and propulsion”: interactive screens use animations to show the propulsion of the future and modern fuel technologies such as hypersonic, hydrogen, hybrid and electric propulsion, highlighting their impact on emissions, sustainability, comfort and speed – all with realistic aerial engines.
“Design your perfect aircraft”: visitors can test their knowledge and design and then fly their own unique and futuristic aircraft. With the help of a touch screen, they can select the type of aircraft, the propulsion, the wings, and the painting, which can also be flown in an aircraft simulator.
“Airport of the future”: Emirates also envisioned the airport of the future to show how biometric systems, data analysis and smart technologies work.
“Experience your tomorrow”: visitors can indulge in an interactive experience through VR goggles to discover the interior design of the aircraft of the future.
“Experience of the Future”: At the end of the visit, the Emirates Pavilion awaits visitors with a 3D movie that summarizes the knowledge gained during the pavilion tour with 3D graphics.
Visitors to the World’s Fair can plan their tour of the Emirates Pavilion in advance, as they can even book a date for their visit from September 22nd. The Emirates Pavilion is open every day of the World’s Fair from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.
