Bollywood stars Karan Johar and Parineeti Chopra to host the 2022 IIFA Rocks at Abu Dhabi

Director Karan Johar and actress Parineeti Chopra, two of Bollywood’s biggest names, will host IIFA Rocks, the opening ceremony of the 22nd annual International Indian Film Academy and Awards (IIFA). It will take place on May 20 and 21 on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi.

Devi Sri Prasad, the composer, singer, and performer behind the music for Pushpa: The Rise, will make his IIFA debut at the event. There will also be performances by music legend Tanishk Bagchi, as well as Neha Kakkar and Dhvani Bhanushali. This year, Guru Randhawa will be part of a dazzling lineup of performances.

Karan Johar said, “I am thrilled to be hosting this year’s IIFA Rocks.” This is more than just an event; IIFA is a brand and a platform for the bestowal of talent in music, art, and culture. There are also fashion shows to make it an extravagant weekend.”

Meanwhile, co-host Parineeti is ecstatic about the opportunity to visit Abu Dhabi. When asked about hosting IIFA Rocks, she said, “I am super excited to be co-hosting IIFA Rocks this year. It is an honor to be a part of the hosting team along with Karan Johar.” There is a long history of IIFA as a vehicle for connecting Bollywood with the world, and with all of us who live here on Earth. There is something extra special about being a part of IIFA now because the event takes place on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi and I am really looking forward to meeting everyone there.
