Bee’ah, Masdar JV To Convert Landfill Site To Solar PV Facility In UAE

News: Emirates Waste to Energy Company, a joint venture (JV) between Bee’ah and Masdar, will carry out the construction of a solar photovoltaic (PV) project on a landfill area in Sharjah, UAE, reports Emirates News Agency. The JV will manage the financing, design, procurement and construction of the 120MW solar facility. It will also be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the plant for 25 years. The project will be developed in three phases, with the completion of the first phase scheduled in 2023.
