The ministry of the Interior and the ministry of Finance launched stamp e-passport from 1 January 2019.
In the framework of the simplification of administrative procedures for citizens, the ministry of the Interior and the ministry of Economy and Finance announced on Friday that it will be carried to the dematerialization of the tax stamp on the passport, from 1 January 2019.
The order of the stamp dematerialized is completed electronically on the portal of the Directorate general of taxes, to the address www.tax.gov.ma indicate the two departments in a joint press release.
Citizens will be able to carry out the payment of stamp duty, through the channel of their choice: directly by credit card on the portal of the Directorate General of Taxes, or from banks and different payment providers, said the same source.
They will then earn a stamp dematerialized, taking the form of a series of 16 numbers that they will receive by SMS and will have to use to complete the passport application form, on the website of the ministry of the Interior dedicated to the passport : www.passeport.ma.
The ministry of the Interior announces, also, that the initiatives of dematerialization will continue in order to enable citizens, in a near future, to make their requests for renewal of passport at a distance.
