The personal envoy of the UN Secretary-General for the Sahara, Horst Kohler, has just announced the date of the next meeting between Morocco and the Polisario.
During a briefing held Tuesday at the UN Security Council in New York, he announced his intention to organize a new round table on the Sahara to which will participate in addition to Morocco and the United Nations. Polisario, Algeria and Mauritania.
Before organizing this round table, probably in Geneva in March, Horst Kohler still wants to meet "individually" the protagonists to define the agenda of this meeting. "We are preparing for the next round and we are expecting a good meeting in March," he told Map.
For French Ambassador to the UN François Delattre, who has always supported Morocco on the Sahara issue, Kohler "has a vision, and the confidence of all delegations around the table. So, we have a good environment, "saying that the former German president (2004-2010) enjoys unanimous support from members of the Security Council.
