Whenever we come across photos of celebrities on vacation, we wonder what it would be like to globe-trot to such exotic locations and experience unique cultures. And our FOMO hit another level when we saw photos of Gwyneth Paltrow, Kate Hudson and Zoe Saldana strutting around Dubai, which made us wonder, what’s cooking on the other side of the globe?
Initially, rumours were rife around a movie shoot and we thought to ourselves, wow, that’s one movie we’d love to have a peek into. But then, with no other hint on what the film was about or when it would be out, our anticipation only grew. But finally, the cat is out of the bag; we finally know what brought these beautiful ladies to Dubai and the reason is truly unique.
Dubai Tourism shot a new film with the three stars showcasing the unique culture of the city. The concept behind the film was to create itineraries from three different perspectives, one for the traveller who loves to see the sights and see them from a brand new angle like Gwyneth Paltrow, another for someone who likes to soak in the art and culture of the city like Kate Hudson and the final one for someone like Zoe Saldana who wants to see it all from the desert to the city lights.
In the film, we see Gwyneth Paltrow walk through the Souk markets of Dubai, collecting spices and memories, encountering the old heritage of the markets in juxtaposition to the younger generation moving through them on skateboards and walking on the clear peaceful beaches.
On the other hand, Kate Hudson walks through the streets, exploring the underground art scene of Dubai and meeting new people at the creek, which is my favourite way to explore a new city.
But, if you are looking to a unique experience then you have to see Dubai the Zoe Saldana way, by flying above the desert in hot-air balloons and biking through the sand dunes in the day to experience the Dubai Frame as it comes to life with the city in the night.
It doesn’t matter if you are travelling with your family, girlfriends or on a solo-trip, there is a unique way to explore Dubai every single time you visit it.
