Halliburton awarded offshore Senegal work

Halliburton Company has been awarded nine conditional contracts for drilling and completion services for SNE Field Development Phase 1 offshore Senegal.

Awarded by Woodside Energy BV, the campaign includes drilling and completion of 18 wells with up to eight optional wells over an estimated three to four year term. Contracts awarded include drilling, logging and well testing services.

Initial engineering work will begin in Perth, Australia, later this year, and will then transfer to Dakar, Senegal in 2020.

Halliburton did not disclose the cost value of the contracts, but noted they are conditional based on Woodside’s positive SNE Field Development FID and full funding release.

Work is set to begin in late 2020 or early 2021.
