Shortage of electricity in Windhoek hospitals this morning has not affected services because backup generators could carry the load until supply was restored.
The Ministry of Health and Social Services Public Relations officer, Manga Libita, confirmed that certain state facilities experienced an electricity supply problem on Monday morning and added that no patients were affected by the extended power interruption.
Manga said is urgently looking into the actual cause of the electricity supply interruption at the Katutura and Windhoek Central Hospitals.
