Cairo – The Egyptian government is planning to execute EGP 2.5 billion ($151.11 million) antiquities projects in the coming period, EGP 1.47 billion by December and EGP 1 billion in 2020, according to a statement from the cabinet.
The projects include the restoration of Baron Empain Palace and the resumption of the construction of the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization.
In July, the Egyptian government opened ‘Bent’ Pyramid for visitors. The 101-meter structure is located south of Cairo and was built for Pharaoh Sneferu.
