(Ecofin Agency) – In Egypt, the IT institute ITI will open a new branch in Aswan to boost local students' capabilities in the IT and Communications sector.
A cooperation agreement was signed in that regard, on February 18, 2019, between Heba Saleh, ITI's president and Ahmed Gallab, president of Aswan University, in the presence of Amr Talaat, the communications minister, and Ahmed Ibrahim, governor of Aswan.
The institutions will prepare students on the market that will get more specialized with the coming of broad tech firms.
Amr Talaat pointed out that the Aswan branch is not only one of its own branches.
This new branch falls within the framework of the "Egypt Manufactures Electronics" initiative which is being exported. For the communications minister, the aim is to create an environment conducive to the development of an electronic industry and support research and development activities.
