48e Nord International is going on a trade mission to South Africa, in collaboration with Export Québec.
The organization based in Rouyn-Noranda supports seven mining companies, six from the region and one from Quebec. From Monday to next Thursday, they will be from the Indaba Mining Congress, in the city of Cape Town. This is an opportunity to build relationships, among others.
"We will be part of the Canadian flag. The purpose of this mission is, of course, to meet different mining actors to establish themselves in South Africa to develop the markets, and also to come back to the country with a maximum of contacts to have a good presence in this market. "
– Cindy Valencia, Director of International Affairs and Partner Relations for 48th International North
Location Blais, ASDR, InnovExplo, Mécanicad, Cmac-Thyssen Mining Group and Jean-Luc Corriveau Land Surveyor are part of the trip.
They have already set up meetings with certain actors who interested them. Half of the companies are in their first experience, while the other is already in contact.
48th North carries out about five such international missions each year. In 2018, the organization went to Peru and Burkina Faso, in addition to offering regional training to equip and support companies in their market development strategies.
