Côte d'Ivoire: The Ong Global Garden Organization and ARDCI together to reforest the country's establishments

Abidjan, January 27, 2019 (GabonInitiatives) – The Ong Global Garden Organization (GGO) met on 23 January with the heads of the Assembly of Regions and Districts of Côte d'Ivoire (ARDCI), to solicit from this state entity support, facilitation and multifaceted support for the realization of its program of activities 2019 – 2020 aiming in particular at reforestation of a little more than 200 hectares of trees through the primary, secondary and higher schools of the country.

This technical meeting allowed the NGO (GGO) not only to present its roadmap for the period between 2019 – 2020 but also and above all to establish a partnership with the ARDCI, the body indicated to defend this project with the Ivorian government and donors because it brings together all the regions and the Côte district.

"A 5-hectare school" is the name of the project that is thoroughly detailed to the officials of the ARDCI. For Marina N'dja (president of Global Garden Organization), the implementation of the agreement signed with the Ministry of Water and Forests with the agreement of that of the National Education of Côte d'Ivoire aiming at the reforestation of more than 200 hectares of trees in the country's institutions, through a strong partnership with the ARDCI.

Beyond the simple reforestation, it will be a matter of raising students' awareness about the preservation of the forest and the need to build a healthy environment for future generations through environmental education because for Global Garden Organization "life, is the environment.

Highly receptive, Mr. Konan of ARDCI indicated that "We feel a great interest in accompanying you, as your vision is in line with that of the ARDCI. Your goal is the survival of these plots.
