Conakry: Minister Yéro Baldé kicks off the first session of the ANAQ Board of Directors

The Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdoulaye Yéro Baldé gave this Monday, February 11, the kick-off of the first session of the Board of Directors of the National Quality Assurance Authority at the headquarters of said institution, in the municipality of Kaloum. The meeting mobilized a parterre of heads of public and private educational institutions in the country. In her welcoming speech, ANAQ President Dr. Saliou Bella Diallo returned to the main tasks awaiting her team before promising to put in place all the provisions for the achievement of the assigned objectives.

"The first task of the board of directors is to see how the quality of higher education institutions in the country needs to be improved and scaled up so that strategies can be identified and the necessary activities can reach these levels. objectives are selected with the necessary means. In the first place, the human resources, we have them, we must be able to put them in the norms, the material and financial means so that we can reach the assigned objective, "he said.

For his part, the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Abdoulaye Yéro Baldé recalled the role of this institution attached to his department before noting the particularity of the National Quality Assurance Authority.

"A board of directors is responsible for giving all the necessary guidance to the institution. The role of the ANAQ is to ensure that we have quality in our teaching and research system. The particularity is that it deals with both higher education and scientific research but also, technical education and vocational training. She deals with standards, references and she will evaluate the quality of training and the quality of our institutions, "he says.

For two days, representatives of the country's higher education institutions, meeting on the board of directors, will discuss the strategies to be put in place to provide quality training for learners.
