Air Senegal has just launched its flight between Dakar and Paris. Eventually, the Senegalese company plans to expand its operations to the rest of the Hexagon and become the first African company in the West.
As previously announced, Air Senegal began operating the Dakar-Paris route on Friday, February 1st. It now operates a daily flight between the two cities.
Since February 1st, Air Senegal flights have been taking off from Dakar to Paris. "The trends in terms of reservations are positive. We are continuing our commercial activities with our travel agency partners and the general public in a climate of trust, "explains Philippe Bohn, Air Senegal's General Manager.
Air Senegal flights are available on the airline's website as well as through online travel agencies (MisterFly, Opodo, Expedia and Odigeo).
One line with Air France
Air Senegal has just signed an interline agreement with Air France to allow the issuance of tickets combining the two companies on a Paris-Dakar return trip. "This allows us to offer several schedules to customers, including a morning departure from Dakar," said Franck Legré, Air France-KLM's Africa General Manager.
The takeoff is scheduled at 9:50 from Senegal, for an arrival in France at 16:15. In Paris the plane, takes off again at 18:45 for a landing in Dakar at 23:30.
To date, Air Sénégal serves 10 destinations (Paris, Ziguinchor, Banjul, Praia, Dakar, Abidjan, Bamako, Bissau, Cotonou, Ouagadougou), from nine different countries.
