ADP National Chairman Urges Nigeria to Emulate Bangladesh in Economic Development

ABUJA: March 26, 2019 marked the 48th Anniversary of the Independence and National Day of the People’s Republic Of Bangladesh.

An event to celebrate the day was held in Abuja, Nigeria by the Bangladesh High Commission in Nigeria, at the Transcorp Hilton.

At the event, the National Chairman, Action Democratic Party (ADP), Engr. Yabagi Sani during an interview, urged Nigerians to emulate the People’s Republic Of Bangladesh by utilizing every available resource in order to improve the country’s economy.

He outlined that with a population of almost 140 million, the People Of Bangladesh have been able to utilize all available resources which has helped improve their economy by a whooping 7.3% under the past 12 months, compared to Nigeria’s meager 1.9%.

“The fact that Nigeria Is the most populous black nation in the world and has an ever growing population of almost 200 million people, proves that we have under achieved”, he said.

He asked that Nigeria capitalize on her friendship with the government of Bangladesh to learn strategies that can help improve the economy quickly, using the abundant human and natural resources available.

“We can deepen that relationship with Bangladesh in terms of the current progress.

“We cherish this relationship and I believe we will be able to deepen, grow that friendship so that it will impact our people by way of growing our economy”, he stated.
